| Location: Ypsilanti,MI,United States Member Since: Dec 13, 2008 Gender: Female Goal Type: Marathon Finish Running Accomplishments: I started running last year, my first race was December 2008. It was my first 5k. In the past year I have done 5k's, a 5 miler, 10k, 10 miler and my first half marathon. I started running so I could keep off the weight I had lost (70 pounds). And in running, I have found solace, peace, and friendships. Short-Term Running Goals: My goals for 2010 are:
*2150 total miles
*finish a walking/jogging marathon
*a 2 hour half marathon Long-Term Running Goals: I want to take each year as it comes.
2009 goal was just to run. I did make the goal of 2000 miles. It was my first year running. I will update my total on the 31st of January.
Personal: This past year has been frought with difficulty, trials, and stress. But it has also been a blessing. I learned what I can do, what my body can do, and how to make myself what I want to be.
My three kids have been a wonderful inspiration, and my husband, not matter how we fuss, fit or fight, is ultimately my best friend. |

Rode my bike to the gym (9 mile round trip) and did an hour of time intervals on the tready. Got 7.08 miles in, and after breakfast I'm off to do another 8 miles on the track. First day of his vacation, and he hasn't gotten out of bed. lucky him.

| | Did a short run today. I am getting bored with running. Maybe not with running, but since dh is on vacation this week and is at home...my time is being pulled in different directions. Next week will be better, and the kids go back to school and he goes back to work and I am tapering off for the half marathon at the end of the month. The half marathon will be the end of my running season. I will still run, but not to the extreme I did last month...over 250 miles for the month...not bad! | Add Comment |

Today is DH's birthday. Only did 3 miles, cause he wanted to leave the gym early and get the day rollin'.
Unmotivated this week, but next week the kids go back to school and Dh goes back to work, and whooppee....I know my motivation will be back! | Add Comment |
