| Location: Ypsilanti,MI,United States Member Since: Dec 13, 2008 Gender: Female Goal Type: Marathon Finish Running Accomplishments: I started running last year, my first race was December 2008. It was my first 5k. In the past year I have done 5k's, a 5 miler, 10k, 10 miler and my first half marathon. I started running so I could keep off the weight I had lost (70 pounds). And in running, I have found solace, peace, and friendships. Short-Term Running Goals: My goals for 2010 are:
*2150 total miles
*finish a walking/jogging marathon
*a 2 hour half marathon Long-Term Running Goals: I want to take each year as it comes.
2009 goal was just to run. I did make the goal of 2000 miles. It was my first year running. I will update my total on the 31st of January.
Personal: This past year has been frought with difficulty, trials, and stress. But it has also been a blessing. I learned what I can do, what my body can do, and how to make myself what I want to be.
My three kids have been a wonderful inspiration, and my husband, not matter how we fuss, fit or fight, is ultimately my best friend. |

my training plan: work my way up to 13 miles a day. Once I hit a week of 13 miles per day, decrease my inside running by 1 mile per day, per week, and increase my outside runs by 1 mile per day per week, until I am doing 13 miles per day outside and cross training on something else inside. | Add Comment |

my day off from working out....but needed an energy boost for today. I am volunteering to help at a triathalon this afternoon, in 95 degree heat...I needed the energy boost! | Add Comment |
| | i have to take a break from running. the store that I volunteer for will give me a new pair of shoes for a couple of weeks of 'scut' work in the office. It's only a couple days a week, for a couple weeks. but the shoes i have now are hurting me and my husband refuses to as he puts it "finance my obsession". Thanks honey, so much! | Comments(2) |
