Running Accomplishments:

I started running last year, my first race was December 2008. It was my first 5k. In the past year I have done 5k's, a 5 miler, 10k, 10 miler and my first half marathon. I started running so I could keep off the weight I had lost (70 pounds). And in running, I have found solace, peace, and friendships.

Short-Term Running Goals:

 My goals for 2010 are:

*2150 total miles

*finish a walking/jogging marathon

*a 2 hour half marathon

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to take each year as it comes.

2009 goal was just to run. I did make the goal of 2000 miles. It was my first year running. I will update my total on the 31st of January.

Personal:

This past year has been frought with difficulty, trials, and stress. But it has also been a blessing. I learned what I can do, what my body can do, and how to make myself what I want to be.

My three kids have been a wonderful inspiration, and my husband, not matter how we fuss, fit or fight, is ultimately my best friend.

It was along weekend. I did a 17 hour volunteer shift at an ultra marathon. It was so much fun. I was there before sun up, and left after the first tent was dropped. Learned a lot and had so much fun!

Dh and I are still working on our issues. Since our gym went under, and the local gyms are not running any specials for enrollment, dh bought a new treadmill. He said why spend the 50-75 bucks a month for me just to run, when we can take the money and invest it into a treadmill. At Christmas he said we will get an elliptical machine and invest in more weights. Yeah, I think it's great (-14 degrees in the mornings on winter days is no fun to head to the gym!), but I am afraid that he thinks if he throws money at me then I will be ok with us, when we have more to work on than throwing money at it! But at least he is trying!

jumped back on the tready after 35  min of cardio and weights. Mistake...the knot in my calf came back and now I am limping. what a dork....I have a lot of food sins to make up for. Saturday I ate and ate and ate and ate. RF had great food for the volunteers. Just wonderful bagels and donuts, and pizza and chips and coffee...it was so good and now I am paying for my crime against food!  *TEE-HEE*

Awesome that he's trying--sounds like he's making an effort. keep at it!
