Running Accomplishments:

I started running last year, my first race was December 2008. It was my first 5k. In the past year I have done 5k's, a 5 miler, 10k, 10 miler and my first half marathon. I started running so I could keep off the weight I had lost (70 pounds). And in running, I have found solace, peace, and friendships.

Short-Term Running Goals:

 My goals for 2010 are:

*2150 total miles

*finish a walking/jogging marathon

*a 2 hour half marathon

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to take each year as it comes.

2009 goal was just to run. I did make the goal of 2000 miles. It was my first year running. I will update my total on the 31st of January.

Personal:

This past year has been frought with difficulty, trials, and stress. But it has also been a blessing. I learned what I can do, what my body can do, and how to make myself what I want to be.

My three kids have been a wonderful inspiration, and my husband, not matter how we fuss, fit or fight, is ultimately my best friend.

Dh apologized. He actually apologized. He realized that I am more than just a wife and mother, that I can do more and be more.  I am in shock.

Did my 6.42 mile ride this morning. And 6 mile run this afternoon. I have another 5-6 miles at the gym tonight. Looking forward to it!

nice long 45 min's of speed intervals. felt good.

Oh wow I just posted a big long post on your entry the other day. Well that is great the DH apologized! Awesome! Does this mean you get to volunteer at RF still?

*tee-hee* and I just posted a reply! *tee-hee*

I emailed RF and told them that I could volunteer, but scaled back. DH and I are going to try to work on our marriage, before it's too late.

Maybe Dh could start running too--then you could support each other and he could feel good too! :) Or not--I have begged but my husband absolutely refuses to run with me! He does bring me gatorade every 30 minutes though...:)

That is sweet of you husband. Dh and I used to run together, then I got faster than he was, and he didn't like it anymore. He used to run half marathons, but he is just not interested anymore. We have counseling next Monday. I made the appointment. He said he is committed to making this work. I hope so!
