Running Accomplishments:

I started running last year, my first race was December 2008. It was my first 5k. In the past year I have done 5k's, a 5 miler, 10k, 10 miler and my first half marathon. I started running so I could keep off the weight I had lost (70 pounds). And in running, I have found solace, peace, and friendships.

Short-Term Running Goals:

 My goals for 2010 are:

*2150 total miles

*finish a walking/jogging marathon

*a 2 hour half marathon

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to take each year as it comes.

2009 goal was just to run. I did make the goal of 2000 miles. It was my first year running. I will update my total on the 31st of January.

Personal:

This past year has been frought with difficulty, trials, and stress. But it has also been a blessing. I learned what I can do, what my body can do, and how to make myself what I want to be.

My three kids have been a wonderful inspiration, and my husband, not matter how we fuss, fit or fight, is ultimately my best friend.

45 min of quarter mile intervals. felt good!

didn't go to the gym last night...i sliced a huge hunk of skin off my finger...bled like a stuck pig. got dizzy and nearly threw up. can't handle my own blood.

did 6.42 miles on the bike. felt good, getting more confident in riding. after a few more months of riding, next year i might do a duathlon.  why not?????

did my afternoon run of 6.22 miles. took forever...had to stop twice to pee!  Thankfully there is a well equiped bathroom at a park on my route....thank God for Michigan parks!

We have a popular duathlon in NY that's a 5k, 20 mile ride, 5k. I've always wanted to do it. I agree. More time on the bike is usually more confidence and more power!

You are quite the athlete! So, a duathlon, and then, a triathlon maybe?

I'd LOVE to do a tri...but I can't swim! *tee-hee* I can do a slow and annoying doggy paddle...but that is only to save my life! *tee-hee*
