| Location: Ypsilanti,MI,United States Member Since: Dec 13, 2008 Gender: Female Goal Type: Marathon Finish Running Accomplishments: I started running last year, my first race was December 2008. It was my first 5k. In the past year I have done 5k's, a 5 miler, 10k, 10 miler and my first half marathon. I started running so I could keep off the weight I had lost (70 pounds). And in running, I have found solace, peace, and friendships. Short-Term Running Goals: My goals for 2010 are:
*2150 total miles
*finish a walking/jogging marathon
*a 2 hour half marathon Long-Term Running Goals: I want to take each year as it comes.
2009 goal was just to run. I did make the goal of 2000 miles. It was my first year running. I will update my total on the 31st of January.
Personal: This past year has been frought with difficulty, trials, and stress. But it has also been a blessing. I learned what I can do, what my body can do, and how to make myself what I want to be.
My three kids have been a wonderful inspiration, and my husband, not matter how we fuss, fit or fight, is ultimately my best friend. |

after a total of 17 miles yesterday (walked an additional 3+ in the evening) my butt hurts! gonna make today my rest day, then pick it back up tomorrow. oh and I'm doing a 5 mile trail run/hike on saturday...so I guess I can swap out today for saturday,
going to take a break from training for races. kinda burnt out...I know a little early to burn out, but it's not like it's my career or I'm doing it for money or anything. I just need to change focus for a while. Then I might come back. not giving up running, but taking a break from races. | Add Comment |
| | did a good 70 min run. I have 4 mile inclines to do today. but I am feeling better now that I have taken the stress of training AND losing weight off my back. I am going to focus on losing the last 10 pounds and relaxing and enjoying this summer. I feel renewed, refreshed and re focused! | Add Comment |

| | Essentially took last week off. been a crazy week, but i am getting back on track this week with consistant workouts....45 min eliptical, 65 min run and a 40 min boot camp weight set, 4 days a week, then two days a week eliptical and run, with a light weight set, and one day a week a 5 mile hike in the woods. good times! | Add Comment |
